Soccer At Terra Nova
The Terra Nova Soccer Academy began in 2010, teaching kids in the Bunga neighborhood of Kampala, Uganda between five and 18 years old how to play soccer.
Since the start, TNSA has taught more than 300 kids, between 30 and 40 of whom are still connected to the program.
This past holiday session the academy had 56 kids, the largest season so far.
All of the academy kids are taught by Coach Abdul and his two junior coaches.
More than 60 kids have earned soccer scholarships to private schools in Kampala.
As players began to age out of the academy, we started a team in Uganda's club league.
The team has a roster of 35 players; 25 licensed to play each season, and ten reserves.
Terra Nova started in 2015, in the fifth division of Uganda's club soccer league. The Lightning finished the season ranked #1 and was promoted to the fourth division.

You Can Help
Soccer is building better lives in Kampala. If you love the game and would like to be a part of what we are doing, consider these ideas:
Donate monthly to the Terra Nova Soccer Academy. In 2018, the program will be funded with $2,400 in donated support, and coaching fees paid by participants. Donations, no matter how small, greatly increase the capacity of the Soccer Academy.
Donate equipment! Hundreds of kids playing soccer for hours a day, every day, puts a lot of wear and tear on balls, nets, and cleats. Have your team round up the equipment and we will wear it out.
Special Donations. If donating monthly doesn't fit you, but you would like to make one time donations we will stretch those dollars a lot further than you can imagine.
